Point System
Member of the Month: Each month, the member with the most points becomes Member of the Month, as long as they have not received the award before. To ask about your point total, please contact the Secretary.
Benefits: Membership recognizes your service, connects you with a welcoming community, and offers leadership opportunities and academic honor society experiences.
Membership
There are three types of membership: Temporary, Official, and Permanent. The application for Temporary and Official Membership is the same form, while Permanent Membership does not require an application. Permanent Membership is granted to members who meet the requirements.
A $25 membership fee and an application form are required.
1. Temporary
Available for DVC freshmen who have not attended DVC before and were not a part of the California Scholarship Federation. Must be currently enrolled at Diablo Valley College.
2. Official (Initial)
Available for DVC freshmen who have not attended DVC before and are a lifetime member of the California Scholarship Federation with a graduating high school GPA of 3.5 or higher. Available for continuing DVC students, who are currently enrolled, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
3. Permanent
Available for previous AGS members of one semester with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher or previous AGS members of two or more semesters with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher. Members must also have completed a minimum of 60 semester units with 30 of those units had to have been completed at a community college.
